When promoting on websites/social networks, one thing to remember is no site is to small and could potentially grow into something much bigger where people from all over will see your skills. In fact the only thing that keeps a site from becoming large enough to promote your skills is you not signing to it. The more bands that don't sign, the fewer the people that come to the site. As musicians we should always signup for any site because when we come, so do the people viewing us. They won't come without us and if we don't support all sites how can we get the views we are looking for if we don't make the sites great by signing. One good recommendation of a site with great potential but little support is http://www.crazzilla.com They even take the time to put you right on the homepage for all people to see. That is something that is rare, and in many cases you have to pay for. It is free there. http://www.crazzilla.com

Another way to get your music to the world is by doing a live set or couple of songs that people can hear. So promote a date and time on your MySpace and do a live on-air session at http://www.jamnow.com. You can play live solo, with other musicians, or simply talk and have user feedback instantly!

One way to get your music to the WORLD is through podcasting. However, if you are looking to send a mass email to podcasters that is not the way to go. Check out www.promotingwithpodcasting.com
