That is BS and you know it. Why do you think ID theft is such big deal here. There are so many bogus cards out there, it seems unreal. Yet, as a US citizen, I had to send for my High School Diploma(1974) and have to have 5 other types od identification. How does "Amigo DMV" sound to you? Where do they go whene the Visa exspires? I am so sure you and other employer's make sure they got back on the plan, boat, or bus. Yeah.

CORRECTION: I am not a lawyer but I am wife of a hard working American construction worker. Every year my husband salary goes down a lot 10K or more, becuase the co’s get a herd of illegals on the job site and pay them 4.00 per hr tax free AND THEY WORK ALL NIGHT LONG. This takes the work from my husband and the other legal workers. WE WILL Mostlikely loose our house because of this so who is getting the financial gain. We called immigration -good luck getting through and when you do no one cares. Call the police, what a joke. I think sueing them for financial gain is a more of a way to make the msg LOUD AND CLEAR oh and get this, you might have money for food. IN FACT I THINK IT SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION LAW SUITES TO MAKE THE MSG LOUD, AND KEEP THE MONEY IN THE UNITED STATES. If they want to work do it for the same amount the American do and keep the score even.

Dan,

Just to "RAT" them out does not work. I have personally called "ICE" Special Agents and told them my Visa workers names, what company was working them illegal, where they were living and were they were working. Guess what happened absolutely nothing other than my company being placed under investigation and denied the right to bring any more workers through the H2B Visa program. Hows that for justice!!!

Raymond,

I own a small Business that supplies skilled craftmen to various clients. We utilize the H2b Visa program to meet the ever increasing labor needs of our clients. We go to foriegn countries interview and test workers such as fitters and welders and bring them to the U.S. Then our competitors encourage them to abscond to their company . When this happens we report them to immigration. Because of corrupt Labor Suppliers in our area who choose not to utilize the legal H2B method and cause a worker to make a bad choice and abscond our company is penalized and investigated for 10 months. With approved petitons for over 1,200 workers the conslates and embassys refuse to process our workers because of the investigation our company lost 75 million dollars worth of business in the last year. How about that punishment for trying to legally employ foriegn labor yet to be crucified to the extent of 75 million so far by the government for actions of corrupt workers and companies.

Josh,

Most States do not have statues that address immigration issues due to the fact that the that immigration programs such as the H2b Visa are Federal programs . Therefore, local law enforcement officials have no jurisdiction over illegal immigrants and companies who employee them. There is a trend now where some States are passing legislation to empower local law enforcement to arrest and detain illegal immigrants. This should help because in the past "ICE" would simply tell local law enforcement to fill out a report and let them go.

Why do you need to sue? Can't you just call the police and tell them there is a company employing illegal immigrants, and request that they go check IDs? Is checking IDs that freaking hard?

Bravo for the courage of small businesses and large businesses who
appreciate the people who obtained the right to work in America LEGALLY.
Otherwise, why do we have the terms: "Legal and Illegal?"

Do you think small businesses should take their rivals to court over hiring
illegal immigrants?

My Answer:
ABSOLUTELY! We cannot count on the government to uphold our laws, this is a
great way to take a stand. AND American citizens are tired of their
hardearned pay going to taxes that GIVE illegals food, housing, education,
gas, and health care, esp when it is so hard for an American to get help
when needed.

Just rat them out to immigration over and over until they get raided. Problem solved at a much lower cost than hiring a lawyer. Sueing them is a path to financial ruin. For you.
