Looking to pitch a new cartoon idea?
John wants to know how to pitch a new cartoon idea. Have you tried to pitch a new idea to a company? Tell us about it.
I want to know if the big companies would allow a teenager with a good idea for a comic strip/comic characters because I've been interested in doing comic strips for some newspapers but I never knew if they would care.
I am also interested in this topic. I've read, sent some interest letters, and find that the animation industry may be a "secret society" of sorts. It appears that industry conventions may be your best bet. Comic conventions occur several times a year. Although you are likely to see Superman and Captain Kirk, you may also find a producer or two interested in a new idea.
