Freedom is quite a motivator.

Allowing people to telecommute/telework/telepresence gives an employee a freeing feeling. Even if it is only one day week.

The idea that they can wake up later, start earlier and have less interruptions is a recipe for success. Cheap fully hosted web-conferencing systems that have 24/7 tech support are popping up all over. Webex, Connect, and the other big names will have to evolve into something else or simply get out of the way from the smaller more nibble companies that offer quality web-conferening for 1/7 the price.

It is not brain surgery. A $30.00 web-cam a broadband connection and a browser give anyone web-conferencing, screen sharing and whiteboard collaboration either for free or for as little as $15.00 a month.

There a several companies out there just google web meetings or online meetings or "conferencing for the rest of us"
