Promoting a grocery store
Andreea, Brasov (International)
I own a supermarket in my town. To improve sales and bring in more customers, I organized music concerts in the parking lot of the store. What other activities besides promotion prices and Sunday offers would increase sales?

Your concert idea sounds great! My question to you would be: Are you selling products from your store at the concerts? Things like ice-cold drinks, hot dogs, chips, etc. And it would be good if you "prepared" the food, i.e., cooked hot dogs and hamburgers and sold them, making sure that you put up banners advertising the brands you used. "The Grill is from Weber, the hotdogs from Armor, the charcoal from Kingsford…" Another thing you might consider is giving away something at each concert, a premium item that might not be selling well due to the price. Once the winner uses the product, they will be more apt to tell their friends and family, or to possibly purchase the item themselves in the future.
