Telecommuniting tax incentives
Ron McCue, PTI Engineered Plastic, Shelby Twp., Mich.
I'm trying to convince my employer to let me work from home one day a week. I currently reside in Michigan. Are there any tax savings for my employer for letting me telecommute?

http://www.teleworkva.org/ is a great site that has a lot of resources for people in your position.
Additionally, many managers rightfully want to know that you are working as hard as the people he/she is viewing with his/her own eyes. So, give him his eyes on you.
Go to Zoho.com and checkout their meeting rooms. If you have only a couple of people in the web-conferencing environment I think it is free. Also Elluminate.com allows for a free 3 person room for web-conferencing.
Buy a cheap $30.00 web-cam with a mic included. Do the same for your boss. Then tell him/her that anytime they want to see and talk to you they need only enter the room you a always in. You will be ubiquitously available. Unless you're in the bathroom.
If they want you in a meeting simply have a web-cam on the computer in the room go to your free web-room and viola! There you are in living pixels.
